Make a Difference: Partner

All ten of our branches as well as some of our support departments depend on volunteers to assist them. If you'd like to be a partner with CCPL and donate your time, please fill out this application then contact the Volunteer Supervisor at your local branch or department.

What We Need

Amelia Branch
Branch Adult Volunteer Supervisor: Martha Jane Ziegler
Branch Teen Volunteer Supervisor: Ann Kamphaus
Amelia Branch asks volunteers to make a commitment of at least two hours per week.

Volunteer Tasks:

  • Shelve DVDs & magazines
  • Shelf read & straighten shelves (make sure items on the shelves are in the correct order)
  • Clean
  • Prepare crafts
  • Repair books
  • Wipe down books
  • Assist during programs or story times
  • Assist during book fairs
  • Dust
  • Shift items on the shelves
  • Fold brochures & flyers
  • Stuff envelopes
  • Clean computer keyboards & screens, telephones & headsets
  • Sharpen pencils & refill scrap paper
  • Repackaging A/V materials

Branch Book Fair Volunteer Supervisor: Emily Wichman
Milford-Miami Twp. Branch asks volunteers to make a minimum commitment of three hours a week. Book fair volunteers meet the first Thursday of each month at 10:30am for a business meeting and all other Thursdays at 10:00am to sort items for book fairs.

Volunteer Tasks:

Technical Services located at the Owensville Branch
Department Volunteer Supervisor: Joel Walters
The Technical Services Department doesn't ask volunteers to make a minimum time commitment.

Volunteer tasks:

  • Process and package A/V materials (applying labels, repackaging into new cases, etc.)
  • Process book materials (including stamping, applying mylar jackets, labeling, etc.)
  • Operate the disc repair machine
  • Cutting card stock and applying security strips
